How does it work?

Systems

HighPoint pays for silver bearing materials such as scrap film and silver flake based on a Factor.

 

That factor combined with the daily value of a troy ounce of silver determines the price per pound that will be paid for your material.

 

Example:

 

1. We pickup from a local hospital 500 pounds of Medical Xray Film.

2. The Market Value of a Troy ounce of Silver from Kitco.Com is $20.00.

3. The Factor determined for this waste is .03.

 

Formula Used

 

1. $20.00 times .03 = .60 cents.

2. 500 pounds times .60 cents = $300.00

3. $300.00 is what HighPoint would pay the hospital for this pickup.

 

Why a factor?

As the market rises and falls, the customer will always get fair value because the determined factor never will change. 

 

Many issues go into determining the factor given to a customer such as:

volume, location and the type of silver bearing waste.
